CHAPTER COFFEE ROASTERY & CAFE
During our first coffee crawl back in 2018, we went to three cafés in Maginhawa, sadly, two of them closed and the other one was Chapter Coffee Roastery Café which we are glad is still open and opened different branches. That coffee crawl made us really high from the huge amount of caffeine we consumed that day and the one from Chapter Coffee Roastery Café was one of the strong and good ones.
Chapter Coffee is primarily a roastery as the name implies. They prepare, roast, and deliver quality bulk-order beans to different clients from small neighborhood coffee shops to big establishments such as hotels. They are also a café that offers coffee served in different brewing methods, as well as espresso-based beverages like flat whites and lattes. In their cafés, they also serve pastries and full meals that coffee lovers will also enjoy.
COFFEE DISCOVERY
That coffee crawl exposed me to the sophisticated way of making and drinking coffee. One of the baristas working there explained to us the art of coffee. I learned that coffee beans are of different origins and have different profiles with varying tastes. I also learned that the process of making coffee affects the taste with factors such as temperature, weight, and brewing method bringing out the coffee beans’ hidden potential. That time, they also brewed a coffee for us for free from one of their unique beans so that we could understand and taste the difference. If my memory serves me right, the beans were from Ethiopia and it has a fruity taste. That coffee was strong and we felt very high. That coffee experience was an eye-opening one to the coffee world.
Just yesterday, we went back to Chapter Coffee Roastery & Café and I can say that they still serve good coffee and the place is also a very nice hangout place. They now have different branches in Metro Manila and Rizal so if you have the urge to have coffee, stop going to Starbucks and go and experience Chapter Coffee Roastery & Café instead.
