AURO CHOCOLATES AND THEN CAFE
I always see Auro Chocolates in souvenir shops and sometimes in groceries, and a few years back I discovered that it is locally made here in the Philippines. Just recently, from Instagram stories of my friends, I discovered that there is now an Auro Chocolate Café in BGC, Taguig City.
Out of curiosity, we visited Auro on a Sunday afternoon before going to church. There were a lot of people going in and around the restaurant as it is also an area for family activities. Their store in BGC has a very nice aesthetic. I don’t know why but it somehow reminded me of Pixar’s Coco. Maybe because of the colors. On the left side, they have shelves and a freezer for their chocolates and frozen goods. If you want to try their Filipino-inspired flavored chocolates like Calamansi Cheesecake and Salted Peanut, you can buy from here.
To my surprise, Auro does not just offer coffee and non-coffee drinks but they also serve meals like rice bowls, brunch, and starters. They also serve unique pastries that are really interesting to try. As for their drinks, they offer a variety of coffee and chocolate mix. I ordered their Classic Dark Choc Au Lait and I can say that it is really good especially if you also like dark chocolates.
We just visited Auro Chocolate Café out of curiosity and tried a few of their drinks but If given the chance to visit again, I might try their starters and pastries. Have you already tried their food? Let me know in the comment section below! Cheers!
