NATALNA BOUTIQUE HOME

Natalna Boutique Home's rooms and restaurant

La Union has become associated with the beach and party life. Restaurants and bars started to fill the surf town of San Juan giving it a lively and loud persona. But there is a place just a few kilometers north where you can still find calmness and peace. A sanctuary called Natalna Boutique Home.

When we planned La Union, all I could think of was the nightlife and surfing in San Juan but Julie wanted a different sight and I was very satisfied with what she planned. Natalna’s name came from the Ilocano word meaning calm or serene. Upon seeing the resort from the entrance you’ll be amazed by the well-designed Scandinavian architecture —  a minimalist design, huge glass windows that let natural light come into the rooms, and the use of neutral colors in the buildings. From the materials, you can see that they used premium ones.

ROOMS & VILLAS

The resort is not just for guests but it is also a vacation home for the owners. The building on the left upon entry is where the owners stay and on the right is where guests can rent rooms and villas. The rooms can accommodate 3-5 persons and the villas can accommodate more than 20 persons. What caught my amazement in the rooms was the spacious and well-designed bathroom that you’ll want to stay there longer and appreciate the well-chosen tiles.

RESTAURANT & POOL

They also have a cafe and restaurant in which they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bountiful complimentary breakfast is available to every guest. The food and drinks are pricey but the taste and the ambiance show it all. Beside the restaurant is the shared swimming pool that overlooks the beach. Multiple sun loungers can be found around the pool so if you want to relax and have your tan, they got you.

BEACH

The beachfront is very wide. Same as in San Juan, the waves are also strong but you’ll see an empty sea. A perfect place to sit on the sand and watch the sunset unfold. The sunset here is by far one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.

If you want to experience the parties in San Juan you can drive 20 minutes from Natalna. This is what we did to experience both the calmness and liveliness of La Union. But if you want to stay and experience the quiet night, they have a fire pit in which you can sit down and gather with your friends and family, and look at the stars above.

Natalna Boutique Home is probably one of the most unforgettable resorts I’ve been to. It has this very calming and charming vibe that my Tito-ness seeks to relax my body and mind. It was hard to leave Natalna, but I promise to come back again to this beautiful and one-of-a-kind resort.
